Enjoy the perfect summer under the sun with our tailored Costa Blanca guide

Enjoy the perfect summer under the sun with our tailored Costa Blanca guide
2 Mar

Costa Blanca is situated on the coast of southeastern Spain. It is well-known for its sunny landscapes and beaches and has been branded as one of the healthiest places in the world to live.

However, arriving to a new place with no previous knowledge can be confusing and overwhelming.

With the following guide, your to do list will be the envy of all locals!

1. Playa de Mil Palmeras

Mil Palmeras beach is situated in Pilar de la Horadada, in the province of Alicante. Thanks to its easy access, abundance of sun beds and services, it has become one of most popular beaches of the area.

A favourite summer activity of this beach comes along with its amazing selection of chiringuitos.

A personal favorite isTerrassa Beach, which offers a variety of delicious dishes from its new and improved kitchen, alongside refreshing beverages.

These can be enjoyed on the terrace, with direct views of the sea. And if you feel like lying down, you can rent sunbeds from the staff and take your snacks and drinks onto the sand, for some quality sunbathing time.

2. Barranco Rubio

This beautiful and intimate beach is situated in Dehesa de Campoamor (Orihuela Costa, Alicante). It is a natural, unspoiled beach with fine sand, known for its calm waters and relaxed atmosphere, making it perfect for a peaceful walk or enjoying water activities.

During the summer, you can also find chiringuitos offering a selection of snacks and cold beverages to accompany your time by the sea.

3. La Glea

Known as the largest beach on the Orihuela coastline, it is one of the most loved beaches in the area. It is located next to the sports port of Campoamor, which means it offers a wide variety of services and facilities.

This is an inclusive beach, with assisted bathing areas, as well as shaded zones, sunbeds, restaurants, and more.

There are hotels nearby, however, when you're on the beach, it still feels like a small piece of untouched land, thanks to the Mediterranean forest surrounding it.

It's the perfect place to relax, enjoy a coffee or a caña at one of its chiringuitos, or simply lie by the sea with your favorite book.

4. La Mata

Last, but definitely not least, we have La Mata Beach. Located in Torrevieja (Alicante), is the largest beach in the municipality and is known for its beautiful, fine golden sand.

One of my personal favorite chiringuitos, mentioned above, Terrassa Beach, also has a beach bar here, where they host weekly live music during the summer and serve delicious cocktails and snacks for you to enjoy by the sea.

Thanks to its openness, if you visit during the right season, you can enjoy a lovely bite and a drink while watching people surf on its gentle waves.

This beach is not only popular for swimming, but also for strolling along its long seafront promenade, which offers plenty of services and a great atmosphere.

To conclude, Costa Blanca is the ideal destination for a holiday, or even for those looking for a calm and sunny place to live, with an excellent quality of life.
